I am sitting at the library computers, wasting time, as I should be catching up on some reading. I have an hour before class, and I am mastering the art of procrastination. These past two weeks have been very busy. After a full day of class, usually lasting until 3:30 in the afternoon, I have had rehearsal everyday from 6-8. Rehearsals consist of the ensemble stretching in various ballet poses (those ballet lessons when I was nine are finally paying off) and then wandering about the room like a restless spirit, trying to evoke some natural imagery by some creative use of one's arms.
"You are the wind, Sanna. Pretend you're the wind."
Keep in mind that I am not a dancer.
I finished my theology term paper on Tueday. Well, half of it. I got up early the next morning and finished it in two hours. Two hours after that I handed it in. Tsk. Tsk, Sanna. Cutting it a little close, aren't we? Perhaps. But on the whole, I felt pretty good about my paper. We shall have to wait for the results I suppose. (I know you will all be dying to know.) Taste cold steel, feeble term paper. You have not bested me yet.
Yesterday my Visual Culture class was canceled and so I spent a very long lunch hour with my friends Jessie, Hope, and Amanda, talking about our favorite Disney Princess, the movie Anastasia (I found another Dmitri-fan), a potential Lord of the Rings bookclub, and the polarization of American society.
The breakfast bar in the cafeteria had Captain Crunch cereal and I allowed myself a generous portion. I would say that I couldn't resist, but I'm quite sure I could have. As an avid cereal (killer) and enthusiast, I have decided to post and recommend my favorite breakfast cereals. Captain Crunch cereal gets two thumbs up.
At this moment, I can't help but wonder what my sister and brother are doing. Not that cereal makes me think of them, but I wonder on a more metaphysical level. How is school going for Sofia? Is Sweeney Todd staring at her from her wall? Does my brother still stretch on any and all objects that happen to be close to him? Does his wife still eat grapefruit for breakfast? I can only wonder because my sister adamantly refuses to post pictures of herself on facebook. She is such a shy and demure creature; and she absolutely abhors the camera.
I did ten push ups yesterday. I haven't been going to the gym as regularly as I would like to because of my rigorous rehearsal schedule. I intend to be able to do one pull up come Christmas time. Too ambitious, you say? I bite my thumb at you, sir.
I have almost finished reading Pride and Prejudice. I went looking for Sense and Sensibility all by myself (silly me) in the school library, following the number system they had given me to find the book. Of course I didn't find it. I ended up in some 17th century history section. Alas. Austen will have to wait.
At the moment, I am enjoying my Japanese and psychology classes the most. Ohayoo gozaimasu. Ii-otenki desu ne? Hai, soo desu. (Yes, I know I just answered my own question.) Sanna desu. Hajimemashite. Doozo yoroshiku. Senkoo wa eigo desu. Ninensee desu. Shusshin wa Shingaporu desu. Otoshi wa ni juu issai desu.
Sore wa nan desu ka?
Kore wa enpitsu desu. Ano enpitsu wa watashi no enpitsu desu.
Sincerely,
Otha the Troll-Sorceress

Gah! Not now!
Greetings in the name of Gunsturb the Benevolent Bearer of the Beard.
This week did not start out well. I had a psychology test on Tuesday, and I spent the weekend reading over my chapters. That same Tuesday I had two short papers to write as well,, which would have been an easy hurdle--But then my computer would not connect to the internet and I had to give it in to the Information and Technology Center (ITC) for reparations. They decided to keep it for two days, so I had to write my papers on a public computer. On the bright side, I got an A- for my psychology test and an "Excellent Paper! Thanks! Credit +" on one of the papers. How you like me now? This weekend I will spend reading my theology and psychology books, writing a 1500-1800 word essay, and studying for a Japanese quiz and a Visual Culture test on Monday and Tuesday respectively. And all this coupled with my ambitious rehearsal schedule. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Not Sunday, thankfully. I'm meeting with my study group then. But who am I to complain?
Oh, and I intend to watch The Tempest tomorrow evening. Shakespeare is always a must.
I really must be off. I'm wasting my precious minutes. Until next time.
Harriedly Yours.
